Day 01: Cusco - Mollepata - Soraypampa - Visit the Humantay Lake

We are going to pick you up to your hotel at 5:30 am to start our adventure. Then we are traveling for around two hours in our private car until reach to Mollepata town where you will have breakfast (not included), after we will continue until the Salkantay trailhead called Challacancha for one hour more. Then will meet with our support staff, and we will start prepare ourselves for the journey. We will start the adventure by the Salkantay Trek with a gradual walking for 2 hours aproxemately toward Soraypampa for a rest and Peruvian lunch with some beautiful views of Humantay Mountain. After lunch, we are going to visit Humantay Lake, a marvelous lake in the Snow Mountains, and we will come back to our campsite. At the start of the sunset, the sky begins to change colors and you will appreciate these amazing views. Our team will have the tents ready with your bags, then the staff provide some hot drinks or coca tea, chocolate and finally our team will serve you an amazing dinner.

Day 02: Soraypampa - Salkantay Mountain Pass and Lake - Collpapampa.

Today, our trekking staff helps us wake up at around 5am with a hot drink served in your tents, to begin the day well. We hope when you leave of the tent, can see the sunrise on the mountains peaks. Then the guide provides you a free time to pack your things and enjoy a good breakfast prepared by our chef. Around 7am will begin the salkantay trek with gradual uphill hiking for around 4 hours until you reach to Salkantay Pass at 4650 meters, the highest point of the trek. Where we will appreciate spectacular views of the mountains and the imposing snowy peaks of the Salkantay (6264 meters above sea level) is the second highest point of the Cusco region, and then we will have 2 hours downhill to our lunch stop called Wayracmachay, located at 3800 meters. After lunch, we will make a gradual downhill for 3 hours more to our campsite called Chaullay or Colpapampa at 2900 meters. On the way, we will appreciate beautiful rivers, surprising vegetation and fauna. On arrival at campsite, will be greeted by our staff and will enjoy the afternoon with hot drinks before the dinner.

Day 03: Collpapampa - La Playa - Coffe Farm - Santa Teresa hot-springs.

After a delicious and energetic breakfast, you will begin hike the salkantay trail, which is 5 hours, until arrive to the lunch spot called La Playa at 2400 meters. Along the way, you will appreciate Amazing waterfalls, flora, fauna and rivers, with a tropical microclimate where locals grown passion fruit, oranges, avocados, papayas, and coffee. After lunch, a local bus will carry us an organic coffee farm, to have an incredible visit to see the different kinds of coffee and we will tasting the coffee prepared by ourselves with the help of the farmer. For those towns, the coffee farming is the principal activity, because they can export. Then, we will continue to Santa Teresa village campsite and Colcalmayo thermals baths, where you will have time to enjoy a hot natural thermals which is volcanic water with different minerals which are used as medicinal, In the Afternoon, again, we will serve a lovely happy hour with tea and coffee and your chef will prepare a delicious meal for dinner.

Day 04: Santa Teresa - Llactapata - Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes town.

After breakfast, we will take a local transportation to Lucmabamba (40 minutes ride) to our start hiking point. Since here, we hike uphill for around 3 hours, with amazing views until arrive to Llactapata inka site, from here we can see the back part Huaynapichcu and Machu Picchu Mountain. then we are exploring the Inca site together the guide, who will explain the importance, history, function of that place, and you will have time to take photos or rest. Next we are hiking for 2 hours downhill with incredible views until reach the hydroelectric station, where you will eat lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will continue hiking by the train road to Aguas Calientes village, that path will take us approximately 3 hours by the foot valley of Machu Picchu. This path is very inportant, because the American Hiram Bingham used to arrive to Machu Picchu after centuries. On Aguas Calientes we have the hotel to spent the night (included on this package), and we will enjoy the dinner in a local restaurant at about 7:00p.m.

Note: If the group do not want to walk more, today we will catch the traditional trail directly to Hydroelectric without Llactapata. It will depend of the group.

Day 05: Visit to Machu Picchu and Back to Cusco.

An early wake up to go the bus station to catch the first bus to Machu Picchu, We travel for around 30 minutes by car to until Machu Picchu entrance, here the guide introduce you to one of the 7 new wonders, and you are going to see the sunrise over this enigmatic city if the weather conditions is well. Next, we are exploring the most important sectors of the park for around 2 hours always with your guide. After that, you are free to explore more for your own, or maybe climb to Huayna Picchu Mountain (if you have a permit) or go the Inca Bridge, or visit the sun gate. Afterwards you can back to Aguas Calientes at around 14pm to eat something before go to the train station, our trains schedule are around 16:20 or 18:30 pm, we board the train until Ollantaytambo village and then transfer to Cusco city by car.



ENTRANCE TIKETS: In our treks, the entrance to MachuPicchu archaeological site is included. In addition we include the entrance Ticket for the Thermal baths of Santa Teresa, and transport cost.

BRIEFING: Two or one night before your expeditions, we are going to your hotel or you will come to our office for your briefing, it is an information session for the tril to be ready to 100% for the trek day.

PROFESSIONAL GUIDES: All our guides studied English and Tourism at the University, institutes, and have many months giving support to the trekkers before to start to work in this kind of adventures like a guide.

HOTEL:The activity include 3 nights in tents and 1 night hotel in Aguas Calientes village. We include a two star hotel with shared rooms (Double, Marital and Triple rooms). If you would like to upgrade your hotel level or prefer a single room, there will be an additional cost.

TRANSPORTATION: All the transportations during the trek are included, we will pick you up from your hotel at around 6 AM and carried to the trailhead (day 1). during the trail are included the transport from La Palta to Santa Teresa and Hotsprings (day 3), From Santa Teresa to Llucmabamba or Hidroelectrica (day 4), a round trip bus ticket form Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu (day 5), your expedition train ticket and the transport from ollantaytambo to Cusco (day 5).

TRAIN SCHEDULES: The last day of the tour, we will board the 14:30 PM, 16:20 PM or 18:25PM train from Aguas Calientes village to Ollantaytambo village. From where we transfer you to Cusco city in our car. We provide these trains to have the opportunity to arrive early to Cusco, and see the beautiful landscapes of the train road.

STORAGE DURING THE TREK: In the moment of the pre-departure briefing, we will provide you a small duffle bag to pack your things for the trail, this bag will carried by the horses with no option to get anything until the campsite. You should therefore bring a daypack in which you can carry your personal belongings such as camera, water and sunscreen, etc.The other part of your things that are not necessary for the trail, you can leave at hotel store or you can leave it with us until come back of the tour.

HORSES AND SUPPORT STAFF: We include horses and horsemen who is responsible for carrying your duffel (7 kg of bag) with your personal items. There is no additional fee for this. We will give you your duffel bag at your briefing session and this should be filled with the things you will need on your adventure, but not during the actual hiking time.During the trek you have to bring your own daypack with the essential things, because you will have access to your duffel bag only at your evening campsite.

EQUIPMENT: Do Adventures Peru has the best equipment. We use Kaylas tents with capacity for 4 person, but we put only 2 people. This allows some room to spread out and keep your duffels safely with you.

FOOD & CHEFS: Many of our customers comments about the wonders of our chefs. They make magic happen on the trail in a small tent over a single flame. The food is served family style, there will be plenty of options for everyone, and always food left over. If you are vegetarian, it's not problem for us, just tell us and you will have vegetarian food. Each day will consist of breakfast, lunch, happy hour with tea and snacks and dinner. Your last meal will be breakfast of the last day. Lunch the last day is not included.

WATER: Beginning from your first lunch until your last meal on the trail, we will supply all the water you need for your trek. This water will be boiled, filtered and then cooled down before distributing. You must supply your own water bottles or camelback and we recommend carrying about 3L. We will refill at each meal and encourage you to drink as much as possible as you hike. Hydration is key to feeling great in the mountains.In each breakfast, lunch and camping places have local villagers who sell bottles of mineral water, if you prefer you can buy as a way collaborate to obtain income. the prices are different according how far we are.

FIRST AID: Your safety is our number 1 concern. All our guides are trained to provide support in these causes. They all will have first aid kits and full oxygen bottle in case anything happens. We will get you off the trail as quickly and comfortably as possible, if needed and will make sure you get directly to a clinic for treatment. This is not something to worry about - but if something happens, we will be there for you.Note: before to do the trek or any type of adventure tour, we recommend you to visit your doctor and explain about the activity that will do, and please try to bring a small first aid bag each according to your conditions to stay peaceful.


RENTALS: Every trekker needs a sleeping bag when you choose a trek with camping. Inflatable air matts are optional, but do help in getting a good night sleep. Walking sticks are definitely encouraged and must have a rubber tip when bringing your own. If you don't have or want to bring any of the above, they are all available for rent:

HUAYNAPICCHU: Huaynapicchu is the mountain located inside the Machu Picchu Park and has beautiful views from the top. It takes 45 minutes to get to the top and then 45 minutes back down and is quite steep for those scared of heights. This is done after your tour of Machu Picchu and is $20 per person to hike. This is extremely popular and needs to be arranged at least a month or two prior to your trek. Please understand that we can't control weather and cloudy days will prevent perfect pictures.

If after having deposited the initial amount to run the backup (US $ 150.00) and you decide to cancel the booking, we may refund your deposit as long as it has not made the actual purchase of any ticket or any administrative expenses have been made; however, if cancellation is after acquiring the requirements above, your deposit will not be refund.

Please consider:

  • If you cancel the booking between 30 to 10 days before the start of your trip; you will be required to pay 50% of the total cost.
  • If you cancel the booking between 10 to 3 days before the start of your trip; you will be required to pay 80% of the total cost.
  • If you cancel the booking between 1 to 2 days before the start of your trip; you will be required to pay 100% of the total cost.

In the event that you decide to withdraw the trekking once has started, you will be responsible for all additional charges such as: food and transportation that might occur due to the modification of your itinerary. However you can join the group again in Aguas Calientes to spend the night and visit Machu Picchu city the next morning with use of the same services onwards.

In the event that you decide to cancel the trip due to a health issue or personal problem; the above cancellation policies will be applied as the company had already incurred in administrative and logistic expenses for your trekking.
